Introduce Your Family

Sensei taught us how to write in hiragana about our family. Starting by introduce your family members where is your father, your mother and also your siblings. Then, tell about their age and what is their occupation. For example:

わたしの　かぞく　７にんです。ちちと　ははと　あね　ふたりと　あにと　いもうとと　わたし　です。ちちは　なくなりました。ははは　ごじゅう　きゅうさい　の　しゅふ　です。　あねは　さんじゅう　ごさい　の　こうむいん　です。あねは　さんじゅう　さんさい　の　かいしゃいん　です。あには　さんじゅう　にさい　の　かいしゃいん　です。いもうとは　はたち　の　だいがくせい　です。わたしは　にじゅう　にさい　の　だいがくせい　です。

Watashi no kazoku 7 nin desu. chichi to haha to ane futari to ani to imooto to watashi desu. Chichi wa nakunarimashita. haha wa gojuu kyuusai no shufu desu. Ane wa sanjuu gosai no koomuin desu. Anewa sanjuu sansai no kaishain desu. Aniwa sanjuu nisai no kaishain desu. Imooto wa hatachi no daigakusei desu. Watashi wa nijuu nisai no daigakusei desu.

It means :

I have 7 family members. My father, my mother, my 2 sisters, my brother, my younger sister and me. My father is already pass away. My mother is 59 years old and she is housewife. My sister is 35 years old and she is civil servant. My sister is 33 years old and she is employee. My brother is 32 years old and he is employee. My younger sister is 20 years old and she is university student. I’m 22 years old and university student.

Sensei thought us about how to ranking your family if you have many brothers and sisters in your family.

For Ani and otooto which is brother
First eldest Brother / youngest brother in the family we called: Chonan ちょなん。
Second we called: Jinan じなん。
Third and the onward we called it by number for example
the third brother we called: Sannan さんあん。


For Ane and Imooto which is sister
First eldest sister / youngest sister in the family we called: Choojo ちょおじょ。
Second we called: Jijo じじょ。
Third and onward we called it by number for example
the third sister we called: Sanjo さんじょ。

If example your father mother or any of your sibling has already die we called it nakunarimashita
なくなりました。
