Lesson 3: Self Introduction

Starting like this,
こにちわ　はいめまっして。ルクマンです。セランゴル　からきました。けいざい　がくぶの がくせえです。わたしわ　さねんさいです。どおぞ　よろしく　おねがいします。

Konichiwa, Hajimematshite, Natasha Desu. Marakka Kara Kimashita. Keizai Gakubu no Gakusee desu. Watashi wa sanensei desu. Doozo yoroshiku onegai shimasu.

It means:
Hello, Nice to meet you. I am Luqman. I live in Selangor. I study at Faculty of Economy and Muamalat. I am in a third year. Please take care of me.

The phrases, the lower it goes the less formal it. (yoroshiku) is very casual and be careful not use it to older person/higher status than you or person who you first met.

Next, How to ask without being rude ?

おなまえ　は？　Onamae　wa ?
        What is your name ?

おくに　は？ Okuni wa ?
    Which country do you live ?
　

おしごと　は？　Oshigoto wa ?
           What is your job ?

When there is a new finding or you just know that thing you can say "desune" it means Oh really.

Country and Language:

Country  :くに　kuni        Language : ご　go

　
If you want to say I am Malaysian in Japanese is :  マレシア　ジンデス　"Mareshia Jin Desu".

There are some countries that I know in Japanese:


 Germany - ドイツ　Doitsu











China - チュウゴク　Chuugoku

　

 France - フランス　Furansu

In addition, To ask people do you expect in that language or not you can ask like this :

1. Question : フランス　ご　できまｓか？　Furansu go dekimaska ?
　　　　　 Can you understand France language ?
    Answer :  いいえ　できません。Iee Dekimasen.　　　　
　　　　　Sorry. I cannot understand

2. Question : マレ　ご　できまｓか？　Marre go dekimaska ?
                     Can you understand Malay Language ?
    Answer :  はい。いません。　Hai. Imasen
　　　　　Yes. I can understand.

3. Question : アラビア　ご　できまｓか？ Arabia go dekimaska ?
                     Can you understand Arabic language ?
    Answer : はい。べんきょおちゅうです。Hai. Benkyoo-chuu desu.
                    Yes. I am still learning it.
